Massachusetts Debt Collector Sued Numerous Times for Alleged Debt Collection Violations

Champion Funding, Inc. buys existing default judgments, often from more than ten years ago, where there is little or no documentation of the original debt. Champion’s collection company, Judgment Acquisitions Unlimited, employs aggressive collection tactics, including the seizure of consumers' vehicles, to satisfy these old judgments.

Champion Funding, Judgment Acquisitions Unlimited, and Andrew Metcalf, who owns both companies, have been sued numerous times recently for alleged violations of both federal and state debt collection regulations.

KMT LAW PC recently obtained a $30k settlement on behalf of a consumer whose vehicle was wrongfully seized and held by Judgment Acquisitions Unlimited, for a debt held by Champion Funding which this consumer didn’t owe.
